Ireland's Edge: The Podcast

Things look different from the edge.

Born out of the eponymous event series and presented by historian and writer Chris Kissane, Ireland’s Edge – The Podcast hosts and hears from a range of disparate and diverse voices all at the cutting edge of what they do.

Over the years we’ve hosted everything from diplomatic roundtables to pagan raves, science fiction theatre to political debates. Now we’re sharing these discussions with a wider audience on our new podcast, produced by South Wind Blows.

In this first series, we’ll be asking questions about our past, present and future after a year in which the Covid-19 pandemic has turned life upside-down. There will be discussions of transhumanism, the Irish language, space exploration, economics, the troubled history of the banjo, Taylor Swift and chaos theory - and almost everything in between!

Featuring Ireland's Chief Justice Frank Clarke, Grammy Award-winning musician Rhiannon Giddens, aerospace engineer Sinéad O’Sullivan, and many more guests with a story to tell.
